The JY-Ⅰ Wireless Automatic Target Reporting System for Small Arms Training system is a portable electronic target system for training of shooting skills. It supports everything from individual basic training to training in complex tactical scenarios on platoon level.
The electronic target is based on a multi-layer spiral cord technology baked into a “self-healing” rubber material. The hits are detected as the spiral cord layers are electrically connected when being penetrated by a bullet.
The system consists of stand alone super-portable electronic targets with monitors that can be used and operated by individual trainees, the monitor can display hitting position and rings with voice reporting and that’s real time. Or the monitors and targets connected together through a system terminal for platoon training under the control and supervision of an instructor. Up to 20 stand alone electronic targets can be controlled by one system terminal, using 100 m range WiFi technology. Shooting distance is beyond 100m.
Each individual target unit basically consists of a target stand, a replaceable electronic target; a target acquisition unit with built in two-way radio and an user monitor, also with built in two-way radio, as well as all other hardware and software modules needed to make an efficient training system. The replaceable electronic target supports all calibers from 4.8 mm to 12.7 mm and no maintenance and calibration is needed. The hits in the electronic target is not visible due to its rubber construction and it can withstand up to 10 000 rounds before it needs to be replaced. All metal parts are rubber coated to avoid ricochets.
The electronic target is “soldier proof”, it is battery operated and it can be installed in matter of minutes, thus ensuring an effective use of the time set aside for training. Each Rubber-Man unit comes in a rugged military type of box and it is ready for use. The rechargeable batteries have the capacity for 8 hrs of continuous training.
The electronic target is delivered with a preset of efficient shooting exercises which are developed by experienced instructors. Customer defined shooting scenarios can be delivered on request.
Due to being super-portable the electronic target can be used during off-campus exercises and during international operations.
